On the afternoon of July 4, 2023, President Peng Daiyin, on behalf of our University, signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with Tang Feng International Education Group and Bahawalpur Islamic University of Pakistan through a video conference.
At the signing ceremony, Li Jinsong, founder and president of Tang Feng International Education Group, first congratulated the cooperation between the two schools, saying: Tang Feng Education Group adheres to the cooperation concept of "Co-construction, sharing and win-win", takes the vision of "the middle way of Sinology and harmonious coexistence", takes the mission of spreading Chinese language, culture and education to more countries and serving more students in the world, and has formed a successful experience of modern international education and Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in many countries. With the assistance of Tang Feng International Education Group, Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and Bahawalpur Islamic University will carry out cooperation in acupuncture and massage at the undergraduate level through the "Chinese + Chinese Medicine" model, which integrates foreign dual education, cooperative education, Chinese language program, business culture, educational technology, practical training skills, future education and employment services. It can realize the traceability, inquiry and conversion of the education process, and ensure the training quality of international Chinese medicine talents.
President Peng Daiyin thanked Tangfeng International Education Group for its efforts in the preparatory work, saying that traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of Chinese culture and has played an important role in the fight against COVID-19. As a big province of Chinese culture, Anhui Province is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, which gave birth to the extensive and profound Hui culture and emerged a number of famous historical figures such as Lao Zi. Traditional Chinese medicine in Anhui Province has a long history, among which "South Xin 'an, North Huatuo" are the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in Anhui Province. He introduced that Anhui University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1959, has a 60-year history, is one of the 24 Chinese medicine universities in the country, but also one of the eight key universities in Anhui province. The university has 32 undergraduate majors, 4 doctorate programs, 3 directly affiliated hospitals and 7 non-directly affiliated hospitals, more than 100 practice teaching clinical bases, and has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 50 medical and educational institutions in more than 40 countries and regions. The establishment of cooperation with the Islamic University of Bahawalpur will jointly promote the training of international Chinese medicine talents and promote the traditional friendship between the two governments and the people of China and Pakistan.
The memorandum of cooperation signed this time has set up a platform for the cooperation between the two universities in the fields of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, exchanges between teachers and students, and academic research exchanges. The presidents of the two schools said that they would strive to enroll the first batch of students in September this year, and cordially extended invitations for exchange visits on behalf of the schools, which were accepted by the presidents of both schools.
