From November 23 to 27, at the invitation of the Malaysian Baomin Acupuncture and Bone Injury Medical Center, Professor Wang Peng, Dean of the Graduate School, led a delegation to Malaysia’s Zhuliang Acupuncture International Research Base, IIMAT College, and IHM College for academic exchanges and international student thesis defenses. Professor Zhou Meiqi, Director of the Acupuncture and Meridian Research Institute, Professor Wu Shengbing, Director of the Research Center at the School of Acupuncture and Tuina, and staff from the School of Humanities and International Education Exchange participated in the activities.
Professor Huang Baomin, President of the Malaysian Baomin Acupuncture and Bone Injury Medical Center and the Malaysia Acupuncture and Bone Injury Traditional Chinese Medicine College, warmly welcomed the delegation. He expressed sincere greetings to the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine delegation and briefly introduced the center's recent achievements in talent training, Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment, and community health services. In return, Professor Wang Peng thanked the Malaysian Baomin Acupuncture and Bone Injury Medical Center for their hospitality and introduced the university's characteristics, faculty team, discipline and program development, and international cooperation efforts.
During the visit, the delegation's experts accompanied the Malaysian Baomin Acupuncture and Bone Injury Medical Center’s free medical service team to provide traditional Chinese medicine treatments at a local Chinese elementary school. At the site, the experts engaged in in-depth discussions with local doctors, exploring more effective treatment options, providing hands-on skill guidance, and demonstrating heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy. This activity enhanced the university’s reputation and recognition in the Malaysian Chinese medicine community.
At IIMAT College and IHM College, Dr. Yu Shanxin, Dean of IIMAT College, and Dr. Lin Yiran, also held discussions with the delegation, exploring potential cooperation in curriculum development and professional advancement in the field of Chinese medicine. Through this visit, both parties strengthened their resources, advancing collaboration in clinical Chinese medicine, traditional medicine research, and talent development.
