Combining learning with travel, and education with experience. To promote the outstanding culture of the Chinese nation and help international students fully understand the history and culture of Anhui, the Anhui Provincial Association for Foreign Students Education organized a four-day "Huishan, Huishui, Huiculture" study tour in Huangshan City, from October 24. Eight international students from Pakistan, Cameroon, Afghanistan, and other countries participated in the event.
During the tour, the international students visited the Huizhou Culture Museum and the City Exhibition Hall. In the evening, they strolled through Tunxi Old Street and Hejie, admiring the unique Hui-style architecture and experiencing the "flowing Qingming Riverside" scene.
The students also embarked on a hiking journey in Huangshan, where they admired the famous "Welcoming Pine" and successfully reached the summit of Bright Top. In Huangshan, an "outdoor classroom," they marveled at the grandeur of the mountain peaks. They learned about the formation of its geological structures and natural landscapes, receiving both natural and cultural enrichment.
In the ancient village of Hongcun, with its white walls and black tiles, the students immersed themselves in the poetic and artistic world, experiencing the profound cultural and artistic connotations of Hui-style architecture. In Xixinan, a "National Most Beautiful Characteristic Town," they enjoyed the natural beauty of this "oxygen bar" and gained a deeper understanding of the unique charm of Hui-style buildings.
Throughout the study tour, the international students also participated in activities at Huangshan University, where they learned about the Huizhou bench dragon dance and experienced the lively atmosphere and culinary culture of Huizhou cuisine. They took part in cultural exchange activities, expanding their horizons through interactive discussions.
This study tour not only allowed the international students to appreciate the natural beauty of Huangshan, but through field visits and hands-on experiences, deepened their understanding and recognition of the unique charm of Hui culture and traditional Chinese culture. In the future, the university will continue to create high-quality platforms for international student education and provide richer cultural learning opportunities.
