Recently, members of "The Belt and Road" Seminar on New Advances in AIDS Treatment, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, visited Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, participating in exchanges and learning about the efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in preventing and treating AIDS, as well as the integration of Chinese and Western medical treatment strategies.


The seminar consists of 30 educational and healthcare professionals from nine countries, including Ethiopia, South Africa, the Solomon Islands, Gambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and Egypt. The participants held discussions with experts in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and herbal medicine at the university. They also visited the Traditional Chinese Medicine Resource Centre to observe the protection, development, and utilization of TCM resources. Furthermore, the participants had the opportunity to experience distinctive TCM therapies, such as acupuncture, tuina (therapeutic massage), moxibustion, and gua sha (scraping therapy), at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine.
