Our University Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Life University (USA)

On July 8, a delegation led by John Downes, Vice President of Life University (USA), visited our university. The delegation held discussions with our university on conducting in-depth cooperation in the fields of chiropractic medicine and Chinese materia medica (CMM) regarding education, scientific research, and clinical practice, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with our university. Xu Fan, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President of the university, along with the Dean of the School of Humanities and International Education Exchange and the Vice Dean of the School of Acupuncture and Tuina, attended the discussion.

First, Xu Fan introduced the university's school-running history, program offerings, discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific research achievements, and international exchange and cooperation. He stated that CMM and chiropractic medicine are highly aligned in the concepts of "holistic view" and "natural therapy". The cooperation between the two universities will give full play to their respective advantages, promote the in-depth integration of traditional medicine and modern health sciences, and open up a new path for cultivating international medical talents.

John Downes expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. He introduced the advantages of his university in the fields of chiropractic medicine, sports science, and health. He noted that the outstanding achievements of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in the field of CMM are admirable, and Life University (USA) has always been committed to promoting a health education system centered on chiropractic medicine. He believed that through resource sharing and complementary advantages between the two sides, it will make innovative contributions to the global health cause.

At the signing ceremony, Xu Fan, on behalf of our university, and John Downes signed the memorandum of cooperation, reaching a number of consensuses on teacher-student exchanges, cooperative school-running, scientific research cooperation, and other aspects.
